Abstract:
Twelve rootstocks were taken as materials,to provide a reference for screening of dwarfing rootstcks during early stage,12 rootstocks and their grafted trees were used to study the correlation between root bark ratio,branch cortex ratio and tree growth vigor.The results showed that root bark ratio was negatively correlated with root diameter,branch cortex ratio was negatively correlated with branch diameter.Root bark ratio of roots(2-9 mm) had highly significant negative correlation with height of grafted trees(TH),root bark ratio of roots (2-6 mm) had highly significant negative correlation with cross sectional area of grafted tree(TCA).Branch cortex ratio had no significant correlation with TH and TCA of grafted tree.Cluster analysis showed that classification results of 12 rootstocks based on root bark ratio were consistent with that of growth vigor of grafted trees,the optimum root diameters for predicting the growth vigor of grafted tree were 5-7 mm.
