Abstract:
Strawberry breeding gradually shifts from pursuing yield to quality breeding in China.This study reviewed the research progress of color,hardness,flavor and related genes affecting the expression of quality traits in strawberry nutrition and sensory quality.Strawberry quality breeding methods included cross breeding,mutation breeding,biotechnology,etc.At present,the best traits of parents were combined into hybrid progeny by cross breeding,and then the breeding process was accelerated by mutation breeding and biotechnology.This study provided a theoretical basis for establishing the goal of strawberry quality breeding and selecting corresponding breeding techniques.
