Abstract:
Taking seven Nerine cultivars as materials，which were introduced from the Netherlands.Phenological period，morphological characteristics and planting adaption were observed and recorded during their planting in Hangzhou，Zhejiang Province.This is detailed report of introduction and cultivation of Nerine in China，which would help enrich the species of bulbous flowers blooming in summer and autumn.The results showed that four cultivars could grow and blossom normally，with an eightmonth long green period and a three-month long blooming period.Replacing bulb could be seen from the one-year period，potted plants under shady condition grew better than those planted in the ground.Overall，the introduced Nerine cultivars can survive in Hangzhou area and they were expected to become perfect flower borders，ground borders and cut flowers as well.
