Abstract:
Taking three kinds of biomass charcoal (rice husk charcoal,bamboo charcoal,fir wood charcoal) and common matrix (peat∶vermiculite∶pearl stone=6∶3∶1) as experimental material,the effect of different combination with every kind of biomass charcoal on tomato seeding were studied.The results showed that compared to common matrix,matrix added to biomass charcoal had better physical and chemical properties containing lower bulk density and total porosity and higher value of pH and EC.Matrix added to biomass charcoal could promote tomato earlier emergence,increase their plant height,stem diameter,shoot fresh/dry weight,root fresh/dry weight,and thereby increase the production of tomato.Matrix added to biomass charcoal could decrease significantly tomato seeding chlorophyll content and root vigor while it could increase significantly tomato seeding healthy index.Composited above results,the three kinds of biomass charcoal chosen in the experiment could substitute peat and satisfy the demands of tomato hole tray seeding,among them;combined 33% rice husk charcoal with 67%common matrix was the most optimal.
