Abstract:
‘Zhongshan Xuegui’ ‘Jinling Honglian’‘Jinling Hongmei’‘Jinling Yangguang’ four varieties potted chrysanthemums were used as experimental materials.The effects of drought stress on the phenotypes of overground and underground parts,physiological indexes such as leaf superoxide dismutase (SOD),activity and catalase (CAT) activity,ascorbic acid peroxidase (APX) activity,malonaldehyde,chlorophyll and protein contents were studied.In order to evaluate the drought resistance of four varieties potted small chrysanthemums.The results showed under drought stress,the activities of SOD,CAT and APX in the four potted plants decreased sharply;the content of chlorophyll increased during the early stages of stress and then decreased afterwards.Taken with morphological observation,it was suggested that ‘Jinling Yangguang’ and ‘Jinling Hongmei’ were relatively more tolerant than ‘Jinling Honglian’ or ‘Zhongshan Xuegui’.Through the study of drought resistance in the four potted chrysanthemum varieties, it was found that ‘Jinling Yangguang’ was the best suitable for growing in Shanghai.Since ‘Jinling Yangguang’ was the most tolerant to drought resistance,it could be used for the promotion and application of large areas for landscape in Shanghai.
