Abstract:
ISSR markers had been used to investigate the genetic diversity of Rhododendron simsii populations located on Dabie Mountains (Shizifeng,Wunaoshan, and Wujiashan). The results showed hat high genetic diversity existed in natural R.simsii populations in this region.Totally,132 bands had been amplified, and polymorphic bands were 130,with the polymorphic rate of 98.48%.Among these bands,124 polymorphic loci were detected in ‘Wujiashan’ population with the largest polymorphic rate of 93.94%.However,only 102 polymorphic loci were detected in ‘Wunaoshan’ population (77.27%).Among these three populations, genetic identify ranged between 0.798 3 and 0.901 4,while genetic distance ranged from 0.103 9 to 0.225 2.The total genetic variation (Ht) was 0.373 2,the degree of genetic variation (Hs) within population was 0.307 8,and the coefficient of genetic differentiation (Gst) among populations was estimated to be 0.175 2.In particular, only 17.52% of the total genetic variation existed among populations, and the genetic variation within populations was 82.48%.This study will enrich the case study of genetic diversity of Rhododendron resources in Dabie Mountains, and lay good foundation for further development and utilization of wild Rhododendron resources.
