- Four wolfberry varieties (lines),including ‘Ningqi 7’‘Ningnongqi 9’ and yellow fruit wolfberry ‘W1230’‘W1329’ were used as research targets.The CI600 plant root system was used to monitor the morphological characteristics of the roots of wolfberry from May to July,and the growth of wolfberry in aboveground parts was measured simultaneously.The results showed that under the same ecological environment and management measures of water and fertilizer,the underground and aboveground growth of different varieties(lines) were different,indicating that the adaptability of different varieties (lines) of wolfberry to the environment were different;the wolfberry root length,root projected area and root surface area were significantly correlated with the length of wolfberry branches and the diameter of wolfberry branches,respectively.The root system of ‘Ningqi 7’‘W1230’‘W1329’ were mainly distributed in the soil layer of 40-60 cm,the main distribution of‘Ningnongqi 9’ in the 0-40 cm soil layer range.The roots of ‘W1230’‘W1329’‘Ningqi 7’ were clustered into one category and ‘Ningnongqi 9’ alone into a category.The study could provide reference for the most basic agricultural measures such as the regional planting of wolfberry and the fertilization in wolfberry cultivation.
