Abstract:: In order to study the effect of pelleting with different proportion of filler on the seed germination rate and the seedling quality of Platycodon grandiflorum,five kinds of common fillers were mixed with diatomite respectively according to the ratio of 1∶1,carbon+diatomite was activated as the best combination via pot experiments.Aiming to improve the germination rate of this combination,carbon and diatomite were mixed in a ratio of 1∶1,1∶2,1∶3,1∶4 and 1∶5,and then the seeds were randomly selected from the pelleted seeds and were potted experiment. The results showed that different proportions of pelleting filler had distinctive effects on seed vigor and seedling quality of Platycodon grandiflorum.Among them, when carbon∶diatomite=1∶4,the germination rate performed best,the seed vigor and the seedling quality of Platycodon grandiflorum became better after this treatment as well;the inferior performance turned out,however,when the ratio changed into 1∶2.
