Abstract:
The three-year-old seedlings of Vaccinium uligiuosum L.were selected as testing materials.The seedlings were exposed to short day (10 hours) and 4 ℃ as well as long day (14 hours) and 4 ℃ in controlled conditions for 21 days respectively.The physiological indexes in leave were measured after 21 days of treatment.The results showed that compared with the control,photoperiod had no significant effect on SOD activity;the POD activity was significantly decreased;the CAT activity was significantly increased.Cold acclimation significantly increased the sucrose,glucose,fructose and soluble protein content,which was related to low temperature induction,independent of photoperiod.Compared with the control,cold acclimation significantly increased GA3 content the range of increasing at short day tratment was higher than that at long day treatment;the ABA content at short day treatment was significantly decreased,but had no obvious change at long day treatment;photoperiod had no significant effect on the IAA content during cold acclimation;the ZR content did not increase significantly at short day treatment,while significantly increased at the long day treatment.The ABA/GA3 and ABA/IAA ratios was significantly less at short day treatment than that at long day.The results showed that the leaves of Vaccinium uligiuosum L.showed strong cold adaptability during cold acclimation.The effect of low temperature and short photoperiod on synthesis of ABA and GA3 and hormone balance was greater than that of low temperature and long photoperiod,therefore,it also had certain influence on the cold adaptability.
