Title:: Research on the Spatial Distribution and Variation Characteristics of Urban Green Level in China

Abstract:: Using the 1990—2012 statistical data to analyze the 251 cities in China.The results showed that in 1990 the level of urban green space in China was low，and the space distribution was different.The level of green space construction in middle and northeast was slightly higher than that in east and west.From 1990 to 2012，the level of urban green space in China had been improved rapidly，however，there were differences between regions.The speed of urban green space level improving in east was faster than that in west，northeast and middle.The growth speed of green rate of built district lagged behind the growth rate of public recreational green space per capita.In 2012，the level of urban green space was not high，and the spatial distribution difference was significant.According to the level of urban green space，east area was higher than northeast，middle and west.According to the situation of green rate of built district and public recreational green space per capita，the urban green space level of China was divided into six types.The spatial distribution characteristics of urban green space showed gradually decreasing in the east，northeast，middle and west.
