Abstract:
Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is the fourth largest vegetable crop in the world,but the dormancy phenomenon is common.7 varieties of eggplant,which were widely used in the production at present in Beijing area,‘Jing Qie No.5’,‘Jing Qie No.10’,‘Jing Qie No.3’,‘Jing Yan No.2’,‘Da Ming Eggplant’,‘Fast Round Eggplant’ and ‘Jing Qie No.1’ were used as materials.After using the 1.2% hydrogen peroxide disinfection 5 minutes,300 mg/L GA soaked 30 minutes,germination test at 20-30℃ variable temperature conditions.The results showed that the germination rate of GA treatment increased the maximum 18 percent points,GA treatment could promote seed germination.Meanwhile,GA treatment could improve the speed of germination of eggplant,shorten germination days,also conducive to the rapid emergence after sowing.
