Abstract:
Taking the pycnidium of Valsa mali var.mali at different developmental progresses as material, the apparent characteristics were observed by the naked eye, then the internal anatomic structure were obserced by paraffin section,in order to establish the corresponding ralationship between the two parts. The results showed that the pycnidium of Valsa mali var.mali in the field could be divided into three types according to the developmental progress:pycnidiumal primordia, immature pycnidium and mature pycnidium, and three types of pycnidium could be distinguished from each other through its apparent characteristics. This study revealed the correspondence between histological development characteristics and apparent characteristics of pycnidium, provided a standard for investigation and a method for fast recognition of different developmental types of pycnidium in the field.
