Abstract:
Taking 10 diploid watermelon pure lines(6 Citrullus lanatus subspecies,1 edible seed watermelon variety,1 stockmelon subspecies,1 egusi seed subspecies,1 wild watermelon Citrullus rehmii species) and 6 tetraploid watermelon pure lines(they were obtained by mutation and doubling with 10 diploid watermelon pure lines) as test materials,preparing 60 triploid cross combinations and 36 tetraploid combinations,the effects of parent plants and genetic relationship on colored aborted seed number of polyploid watermelon.The results showed that genetic relationship of parent plants which was measured in terms of Squared eulidean diatance was not significant linear correlated with the colored aborted seed number of triploid watermelon;parent plants had significant effects on colored aborted seed number of triploid watermelon,the most influential male plant and female plant were S660 and TS660;colored aborted seed number of tetraploid and triploid combination with same genetic relationship had a very significant correlative relation,correlation coefficient was 0.578.
