Abstract:
Taking home and abroad 20 roses representative types of dried flower buds as materials,total antioxidant activity,superoxide anion radical scavenging activity unit,unit energy scavenging hydroxyl radical and flavonoids and polyphenols content as the index,the content of antioxidation and flavonoids and polyphenol were compared and studied.The results showed that the significant differences in total antioxidant reactivity units (TARU),superoxide anion resistance reactivity units (SARRU),hydroxyl radical resistance reactivity units (HRRRU),the contents of flavone and polyphenol existed among 20 cultivars,at 0.01 levels.According to the hierarchical clustering procedure,20 rose cultivars could be clustered into 3 clusters.The clustering results showed that the antioxidation capacities of dry flower buds in different rose cultivars were closely correlated to the geographic location from which cultivars were introduced,not colors and types of the flowers.
