Title:: Study on Shoot Tips Culture and Rapid Propagation of Forsythia suspensa

Abstract:: The shoot tips of Forsythia suspensa were used as explants and inoculated on different medium with different concentration combination for observing their growth. The results showed that the optimal medium for growth of Forsythia suspensa shoot tips was MS+6-BA 2.0 mg/L+NAA 0.2 mg/L at the beginning of the culture.The optimal medium for inducing adventitious buds was MS+6-BA 1.0 mg/L+NAA 0.1 mg/L. The proliferation coefficient was highest to 5.0. The rooting rate reached to 93.3% in medium 1/2 MS+NAA 0.2 mg/L and the number of the root was 6.13 per regeneration plant at average. It took 45 days for the rooting of Forsythia suspensa Vahl from the shoot tip inoculated on the medium.
