- 交替氧化酶(alternative oxidase,AOX)是线粒体电子传递链上的末端氧化酶之一,它广泛存在于高等植物及一些真菌和原生生物中。当线粒体细胞色素途径受到抑制时,AOX可缓解线粒体中的电子传递过程,通过直接将O2还原为H2O来提供能量以维持必需的代谢平衡。AOX在植物应激耐受中起着重要作用,同时又与细胞呼吸及光合作用有关,并受到多种代谢产物和信号的诱导。目前,AOX的研究逐步深入,相关成果也比较突出,但对其研究结果的综述性报道较少。该文对AOX的结构和最新研究进展进行总结,为AOX的研究提供参考依据。
- Abstract:
- Alternative oxidase (AOX) is one of the terminal oxidases of the mitochondrial electron transport chain,which is widely distributed in higher plants and some fungi and protozoa.When the mitochondrial cytochrome pathway is inhibited,AOX could alleviate the electron transport process in mitochondria,providing energy and maintaining a much-needed metabolic balance by directly reducing O2 to H2O.AOX,induced by a variety of metabolites and signals,plays an important role in plant stress tolerance,and is also involved in cell respiration and photosynthesis.At present,the research on AOX was being deepened gradually,and the related achievements were also outstanding,but there were few comprehensive reports on the results of AOX research.This review summarized the structure and the latest research progress of AOX,hoping to provide reference for the subsequent study of AOX.
