Abstract:
‘Hongla No.8’,a new processing type three-line hybrid pepper variety,was bred by 932A and J21-2.The line-shaped is smooth,green,and the mature fruit is bright red.The fruit tasty and slightly spicy,with a length of 17 to 19 cm,a transverse diameter of 1.3 cm and single fruit weight of 13.9 g.The flesh contains 132.6 mg·kg-1 vitamin C,0.17% capsaicin.The cultivar has good resistance to epidemic disease and bacterial wilt in the field with the yield of more than 27 021 kg·hm-2.It is suitable for open field cultivation in Southwest regions such as Guizhou Province,Sichuan Province.
