Abstract:
‘Tangza No.10’ is a first-generation hybrid cucumber developed by crossing the self-pollinating strain Ta1*6 as the maternal parent with the self-pollinating strain S106 as the paternal parent.It is a strong-female variety with a female flower rate of over 99%,early maturity,and the first female flower is borne on the 2nd to 3rd nodes of the main stem,with strong continuous fruiting ability.The fruit is of straight tube shape with short rodlike shape.Its fruit is 13-15 cm in length,4.0-4.7 cm diameter,about 2.9-3.2 cm melon handle,and 1.1-1.3 cm sarcocarp thick.The fruit is 135.0-170.0 g in single fruit weight.The fruit skin is glossy green and luster with uniform color.It has moderately warts,small few spines,and white in spines.Its fruit flesh is sweet and crispy with good quality.It is tolerant to cold resistance and adaptability.It has high resistance to bacterial leaf spot disease,resistance to downy mildew and moderately resistant to powdery mildew.It is suitable for cultivation in protected fields in Tangshan,Hebei,and similar ecological regions.
