Abstract:
Taking the ‘Niujiaojiao Jufeng No.1’ pepper as the test material,four arch sheds with initial continuous cropping years of 1 year (No.1),2 years (No.2),9 years (No.3),and 11 years (No.4) were used to measure soil nutrients,enzyme activity,and microbial biomass for 3 years using the controlled variable method.The changes were analyzed to study the impact of continuous cropping on soil properties,in order to provide reference for the formation mechanism and reduction measures of continuous cropping obstacles in southern Ningxia arch sheds for pepper.The results showed that,the continuous cropping years had significant effects on micro-carbon,nitrogen,phosphorus,main nutrient indexes (organic matter,total nitrogen,total phosphorus,available potassium,available phosphorus,available nitrogen) and peroxidase,urease and sucrase (P<0.05).Soil microbial biomass phosphorus decreased with the increase of continuous cropping years,while microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen had no obvious trend.With the increase of continuous cropping years,the soil nutrients in each greenhouse showed an overall upward trend,among which the increase of available phosphorus was the most significant,and the increase of No.3 greenhouse was the most,which increased by 218.41% and 523.20% respectively compared with the first year of sampling.The total nitrogen content in the fourth shed decreased with the increase of continuous cropping years,and there was no significant change in organic matter,total phosphorus and available potassium.There was no significant change in available nitrogen with the increase of continuous cropping years.There was no significant change in soil catalase with continuous cropping years.Soil urease showed a significant downward trend in all greenhouses.Short-term continuous cropping could significantly increase soil sucrase activity,but it decreased year by year with the increasing of continuous cropping years.There was no significant change in soil alkaline phosphatase under short-term continuous cropping and long-term continuous cropping.
