Abstract:
China is the world′s largest producer and consumer of chili peppers.Facing the current globalized competitive landscape，China need to stabilize production and scale while shifting the focus of competition to the top of the value chain,in order to transform production and scale advantages into quality and innovation advantages，thereby reshaping the global structure of the chili industry，accelerating the restructuring and upgrading of China′s chili industry，and achieving high-quality development.This study analyzed the development status of China′s chili industry from dimensions such as industrial layout，production scale，processing status，price，and international trade.The results showed that the industry still faced challenges including strong dependence on germplasm resources，decentralized production methods，uneven processing levels，significant price fluctuations，and intensified international competition.To address these challenges and based on the actual situation，a corresponding path analysis was proposed.
