Abstract:
Based on the current development status of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Shanxi Province，indicators were selected from the planting，processing，and sales links of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Shanxi Province，and the entropy method was used to measure the competitiveness of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Shanxi Province.The comprehensive comparative advantage index method was used to analyze the competitiveness of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in various cities in Shanxi Province.The results showed that the low competitiveness of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Shanxi Province was due to high planting risks，unstable price markets，a single industrial chain and low degree of organization，as well as export obstacles.And based on the obtained results，targeted suggestions were proposed in terms of improving planting technology，regulating the market，extending the industrial chain，and promoting the export of traditional Chinese medicine，in order to enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Shanxi Province.
