Abstract:
‘Sujiao 18’ is a first generation pepper hybrid bred with inbred line A75 as female parent and inbred line A78 as male parent.The plant is 128-142 cm in height,medium maturity,and the first harvest is about 65 days after planting.There are 36-52 fruits per plant.The fruit is dark green,hornshaped,apex,fruit base sepals not enveloped,fruit surface ruffled,cover with toad print,the fruit length is 27.8-33.2 cm,the fruit diameter is 39 cm,the flesh thickness is 0.3 cm,the single fruit weight is 55.2-65.0 g.The contents of vitamin C,dry matter,soluble solid and capsaicin in fresh pepper are 0.222 g·kg-1,79.0 g·kg -1,71.0 g·kg -1 and 19.6 mg·kg -1 respectively.Pepper is resistant to virus,phytophthora blight and anthracnose.It is suitable for protected cultivation in Longzhong,southeastern Gansu,Hexi and similar areas.
