Abstract:
Jingmei No.189’ is a new fresh and dry,long string type hot pepper F1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line ‘YN116’ as female parent,and inbred line ‘SC25’ as male parent.It is of medium maturing.The plant has strong growth vigor and branching ability strong.Its successive fruit setting in each node of the stem,the fruit is of straight and slightly twisted.The single fruit is about 16 g in weight,30 cm in length and 1.2 cm in width.Its pulp is 0.2 cm in thickness.Its fruit is light green in color when immature and red in color when matured.It tastes fragrant hot.Its resistance to bacterial wilt and phytophthora blight is stronger than that of the contrast.Its yield in early is about 1 900 kg per 667 m2 of fresh fruit and in total is about 2 800 kg per 667 m2.It has wide adaptability and can be planted in greenhouse and open fields at Guizhou,Yunnan,Sichuan Province.
