Abstract:
Kalidium foliatum,Bolboschoenus planiculmis,Suaeda glauca,Phragmites australis and Artemisia frigida were used as research objects,soil physical and chemical properties were determined using a combination of field sampling and indoor experiments,to investigate spatial distribution characteristics of soil nutrients under five kinds of plant communities in Yellow River wetlands of Baotou city,and factors that affected accumulation of soil nutrients were studied.In order to provide technical support for protection and ecological restoration of Yellow River wetland.The results showed that,1) soil bulk density of plant communities gradually decreased with soil depth,while the reverse was found for total porosity and water moisture of soil;2) soil pH and total salt content of plant communities gradually decreased with soil depth,which had obvious surface accumulation effect;3) soil organic matter,total nitrogen and total phosphorus gradually increased with soil depth in all plant communities,while there was no uniform pattern of change in total potassium;4) correlation analysis showed that soil bulk density,water moisture,pH and total salt content were not conducive to soil nutrient accumulation,while soil total porosity was beneficial to soil nutrient accumulation;5) soil nutrients of five plant communities were infertile.
