Abstract:
The effect of the contents of mineral elements in leaves and fruit quality of 15-year-old apple trees in dryland were studied by taking ‘Fuji’ as test materials and using ground cloth,ground cloth+super absorbent polymer,and ground cloth+buried branches.The results showed that the three kinds of mulching patterns could increase the content of mineral elements in leaves,increase the fruit weight and soluble solid content,and the puncture strength and average firmness of pulp.The content of N and B in the leaves treated with the ground cloth+super absorbent polymer was the highest,and the contents of K,Mg,Cu,Fe and Zn were the highest in the ground cloth+buried branches.The fruit weight,soluble solid content,peel penetration strength and average firmness of the fruit covered by the ground cloth were lower than those of the other two treatments.It showed that under drought conditions,the ground cloth+super absorbent polymer/buried branches could increase the mineral element content of the leaves and improve the fruit quality of the apple.
