Abstract:
The biological characteristics of pollen and pollination medium of S.pohuashanesis were researched in order to preliminary discuss the pollen dispersion mechanism and determine the biological and ecological barriers in abortion during pollination process.The results showed that the pollen viability was gradually decreased with storage time under both dry and humid conditions.The pollination mainly focused on the first to third day of blooming.The different ways of pollination results suggested that S.pohuashanesis was not self-pollinating,nor syngamy.The setting rate of S.pohuashanesis was strongly affected by anemophily,while its rate promoted by entomophilous pollination but not significant,therefore,indicating that it belonged to anemophilous flower.There were several flower-visiting insects at the flowering time,including Nymphalidae,Apidae,Tenthredinidae,Tachinidae,Syrphidae and Mordellidae.
