Abstract:
A statistical analysis of the application and authorization of new variety protection of kiwifruit was conducted and some suggestions on the protection of variety rights of kiwifruit were put forward.The results showed that the application and authorization of kiwifruit exhibited a zigzag upward trend.The main domestic application subjects were the scientific research and teaching organizations.Hubei Province contributed the largest number of applications and authorization among the provinces in china.Wuhan Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences could be regarded as a model of the innovation and sustainable utilization of Chinese kiwifruit germplasm resources,beacuse it had the largest number of both application and authorization among the application orgnazitions,and it had realized the transformation and application of new varieties.The abroad application of new variety right protection of kiwifruit were mainly from enterprises.More than half of the abroad applications were from New Zealand.Suggestions on strengthening the protection of kiwifruit varieties are as follows.Firstly,we should strengthen the propaganda of plant new variety protection.Secondly,we should improve the breeding quality and shorten the examination period of new varieties.Thirdly,we should improve international mutual recognition of DUS test reports and make up for the shortcoming of domestic examination.Finally,we should strengthen the protection of kiwifruit varieties and promote agricultural development.
