Abstract:
Pollens of Weigela coraeensis was used by culture method in vitro to study the effects of different concentrations of boric acid,different culture temperature and time,in order to determine the appropriate condition and find out optimum boric acid on pollen germination and pollen tube growth.The results showed that the optimal concentrations of boric acid were 0.01% and 0.02% on pollen germination and the growth of pollen tubes,respectively,the pollen germination rate was 75.28% and the pollen tube length was 594.66 μm;the optimal culture temperature was 20 ℃;the optimum culture time was 6 hours.
