Abstract:
Using tissue culture seedlings of Phalaenopsis variety ‘Brothers and Girls’ as material,the effects of different concentrations of dolicin fertilizer on the growth and physiological characteristics of Phalaenopsis seedlings were studied by foliar spraying,in order to select the best fertilizer concentration and provide a theoretical basis for its rational application on Phalaenopsis.The results showed that dolicin could obviously improve the growth,nutritional status,enzymatic activity and photosynthetic performance of Phalaenopsis,and the best effect was to spray dolicin 500 times solution.The average values of the indexes measured at this concentration were significantly higher than those of the control.Dolicin promoted the growth of Phalaenopsis seedlings,increased the maximum leaf length,leaf width,leaf area,single leaf weight and plant fresh weight,significantly increased chlorophyll content (Chl),soluble protein content (SP),superoxide dismutase (SOD),peroxidase (POD) and so on.The photosynthetic parameters such as net photosynthetic rate (Pn),transpiration rate (Tr) and stomatal conductance (Gs) were affected in different degrees.The mean values of the indexes measured were better than those of the control,and the order from high to low was treatment 4>treatment 3>treatment 2>treatment 1>control.In treatment 4,the maximum leaf length and width of Phalaenopsis were 16.5%,7.2% and 94.3% higher than that of the control,respectively,and the weight of single leaf and fresh weight of plant were 43.4% and 116.6% higher than that of the control.At the same time,the content of Chl and SP increased by 71.9% and 112.9% compared with the control.The activity of SOD and POD increased by 39.9% and 47.2% compared with the control.In addition,the average values of Pn,Tr and Gs of all treatments were higher than those of the control,which increased by 122.5%,111.4% and 108.3%,while Ci decreased with the increase of fertilizer concentration.The growth and nutritional status of Phalaenopsis could be significantly improved by doxycycline, and its enzyme activity and photosynthetic performance could be improved. The effect of doxycycline spraying 500 times solution was the best, and the mean value of the indexes measured under this concentration was significantly higher than that of the control.
