Abstract:
The effects of different application rates of potassium fertilizer on the growth of cucumber were studied by using biochar carrier type slow release potash fertilizer (A) and zeolite carrier type slow release potash fertilizer (B).Two levels were 0.36 kg·m-3 and 0.72 kg·m-3.The effects of different types and dosage of potash on the growth and nutrient contents of cucumber seedlings were investigated by measuring and analyzing the morphological indexes, chlorophyll content, physicochemical properties and plant nutrient contents of cucumber seedlings. In order to find suitable potash fertilizer for cucumber plant growth, and provide theoretical basis for cucumber plantation. The results showed that bio-carbon carrier-type slow-release potash was beneficial to the growth of cucumber plants and the dry matter quality, strong seedling index, total phosphorus content and potassium uptake of cucumber plants.Among them, the amount of K uptake in aboveground and underground parts treated with biochar-supported slow-release potash fertilizer 0.36 kg·m-3 (simplified A1 below) were 39.8% and 41.7% higher than those without fertilizer, respectively, and the difference was significant.Zeolite-supported slow-release potassium fertilizer was beneficial to the root-to-crown ratio of cucumber plants and the increase of potassium content in shoots and roots, especially when zeolite-supported slow-release potash fertilizer was 0.36 kg·m-3 (B1 treatment). The contents of potassium in the shoot and root were 25.0% and 15.8% higher than those without fertilizer. In this study, the effect of biochar carrier type slow-release potash fertilizer was better than that of zeolite-supported slow-release potash fertilizer, and the optimum dosage was 0.36 kg·m-3.Therefore,the best effect of cucumber seedling was A1 treatment.
