Abstract:
OVATE family proteins (OFPs) is a class of plant-specific transcription factors with conserved OVATE domains.It is firstly found in tomato,and has influence on fruit shapes.OFPs are widely distributed in the plant kingdom,which regulate many aspects of plant growth and development,including changes in fruit shape,embryo sac and pollen development and secondary cell wall synthesis.In recent years,the researchers mainly focus on Arabidopsis thaliana AtOFP1.Chromatin immunoprecipitation assay (ChIP) show that AtOFP1 directly regulates [STBX]AtGA20ox1 expression.It may also interact with different types of transcription factors (including KNOX and BELL).This study summarized the findings of OVATE to clarify the latest advances in OFPs in regulating plant growth and development.Finally,the possible regulation mechanism was analyzed,which could provide reference for studying the biological function of OFPs in plants.
