Abstract:
Influences of Glomus etunicatum and Glomus mosseae on tomato seedlings growth and soil characteristics were detected by pot experiments as plant grown in continuous cropping soil. Two fungi were inoculated into tomato soil with three levels, such as 1.0%,2.5%,and 5.0% in weight ratio. The results showed that two arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi stimulated tomato seedlings growth especially with 2.5% fungi in soil, the mycorrhizal infection rates of Glomus etunicatum and Glomus mosseae on tomato root were 61% and 80%,respectively.Tomato seedlings root length with Glomus etunicatum and Glomus mosseae were longer than seedlings without incubated fungi(CK) by 26.8% and 42.4%,respectively.Root fresh weight and dry weight of seedlings with Glomus etunicatum or Glomus mosseae were more than CK by 38.1% and 17.1% or 33.3% and 17.1%,respectively.Soil bacteria population with Glomus etunicatum and Glomus mosseae decreased by 51.4% and 38.4% compared with those of before planting. The number of actinomycetes increased than before planting by 23.2% and 21.1%,respectively.The total soil phosphorus content of 2.5% level with Glomus etunicatum and Glomus mosseae decreased by 33.0% and 29.9% compared with those of before sowing.Glomus mosseae promoted the release of soil available nitrogen. In short, two arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi stimulated tomato seedlings growth in continuous cropping under greenhouse and absorbent of phosphorus. The 2.5% fungi addition was the appropriate application of fungi, and the Glomus mosseae was the better one between two fungi.
