‘Xiasheng 2’ is a new luffa F1 Hybrid developed by crossing A-15 as female parent and 05-M-24 as male parent.It is medium maturity,plant growth is strong,and the fruit surface is green with white spots,the flesh was crisp and sweet.Fruit about 35-40 cm in length,4.5-5.0 cm in diameter,single fruit weight is 340-370 g,it yields 2 000-3 000 kg per 667 m2.In addition,it has a lot of excellent features,such as good quality,good fruit setting,strong disease resistant,long shelf life and so on.It could be cultivated in summer and autumn in South China.
