Abstract:
In order to clear the effects of density on seed yield and yield components of Trifolium pratense cv. ‘Mengnong No.1’,branch number per plant,inflorescence number per branch,floret number per inflorescence,seed number per plant,setting percentage per plant,thousand kernel weight and seed yield per plant at four different density were measured.The results showed that seed yield per plant was changed with four row spacing of 60 cm×40 cm,60 cm×50 cm,50 cm×40 cm,50 cm×50 cm,seed yield per plant at row spacing of 50 cm×40 cm was the highest and reached 9.6 g,seed yield per plant between the other three density had no significant different.Branch number per plant,seed number per plant,and thousand kernel weight were the main seed yield component factors of Trifolium pratense cv. ‘Mengnong No.1’.Plant density mainly controlled branch number per plant,seed number per plant and had no effect on thousand kernel weight.
