Abstract:
Oil peony is a native unique biological resources in China, which has an important ornamental and oil-used value. It has significant development value for its flower and seed are rich in nutritional ingredients. In recent years, the breeding, cultivation and management, economic benefits were researched in domestic and abroad. At present, the planting area of oil peony has expanded each year, but the research was seriously lagging behind. Based on the literature analysis, some aspects of oil peony were summarized including the cultivars, distribution, cultivation management and economic benefits. Meanwhile, it was carried out the oil peony for future research directions, some development policies to promote the oil industry were summarized from different levels of government department.
