Abstract:
Taking Zoysia japonica cv.‘Lanyin No.Ⅲ’ as test materials,a soilless cultivation experiment was conducted to study the influence of the four different isolation layers (sun-shade net,non-woven,mulch,bricks) materials on Zoysia japonica cv.‘Lanyin No.Ⅲ’ soilless sod.The grass coverage,density,colour and sod intensity were measured throughout the experiment to screen out suitable insulation materials for ‘Lanyin No.Ⅲ’ soilless sod production.The results showed that the coverage of sunshade net was 92.78%,density was 81.34 branch?(100 cm2)-1,colour was 6.67 after 70 days of planting,which were higher than the other insulation materials.The rank of the four different isolation layers was sun-shade net>brick>non-woven>mulch during the experiment.Although the sod strength of bricks was 5.98 kg,significantly higher than the other insulation materials,its construction cost was higher than sun-shade net.Considering of the above results of the four different isolation layers it was concluded that sun-shade net was better as insulation layer for Zoysia japonica cv.‘Lanyin No.Ⅲ’ soilless sod production whereas mulch was not suitable as insulation layer due to its poor drainage ability.
