Abstract:
Taking watermelon grafted seedlings as materials,through spraying plant,the influence of four kinds of different plant growth regulators with different concentration treatment of paclobutrazol,daminozide,chlormequat chloride and yuhualing No.3 on watermelon grafted seedlings apparent morphological indexs,petiole growth and chlorophyll content was studied.The results showed that the scion height,the length and width of first and second leaf and shoot dry weight of watermelon grafted seedlings were significantly decreased,the growth rate of first and second leaf petioles were effectively inhibited with the treatments of 50 mg/L,100 mg/L and 150 mg/L paclobutrazol.Compared with the control,the chlorophyll content was also increased with the paclobutrazol treatments.Therefore,paclobutrazol may be a suitable regulator for control the growth of watermelon grafted seedlings.
