Abstract:
Taking tomato seedlings that were planted in perlite substrate as material.Nutrient solutions with concentrations of 1/3,2/3,1 and 4/3 folds were supplied to tomato plants.The effect of nutrient concentrations on growth index,dry matter accumulation and root system characteristics parameter were analyzed at the laboratory,combined with normal determination.To provide a reasonable nutrient concentration for vegetative growth stage of tomato.The results showed that the plant height,stem diameter,leaf area increased in a parabola trend with the concentration of nutrient solution enhanced.Plant heights was the highest in the treatment with 1 fold nutrient concentration.Those watered with 4/3 folds showed the highest stem diameters and leaf areas;dry matter weights increased in response to an increase in the nutrient concentration,whereas an opposite trend was observed for root shoot ratios.They were significantly affected by nutrient concentrations.The relationships between nutrient concentrations and dry matter weights,root shoot ratios were quadratic curves,respectively;root length,surface area and volume increased first and then decreased.They showed the lowest values in 1/3 fold treatment.There were no significant differences between the other three treatments.In conclusion,1 and 4/3 folds were better for the vegetative growth of tomato plants.
