Abstract:
The composition of essential oil in the roots and fruits of three strains of Polygonatum odoratum including ‘Dayuzhu’,‘Yuanye Yuzhu’ and ‘Jizhu No.1’ were determined and analyzed by GC-MS using steam distillation extraction and normalization method of peak area.The results showed that paeonol was the unique ingredients in ‘Dayuzhu’ different from the others.Hexamethylcyclotrisiloxane was the common ingredient in three strains.This study would provide elementary foundation for variety selection,quality evaluation and product development of Polygonatum odoratum.
