Abstract:: Taking ‘Heixianzi-1’ and ‘Heixianzi-5’ as materials，the effect of storage by hanging on the stems on storage characteristics and quality of Chieh-qua fruit were studied by using Benincasa hispida Cogn.var.Chieh-qua How.The results showed that compared with the general storage，the storage by hanging on the stems fruit had better storage characteristics.Higher water content of fruit，soluble solids，vitamin C，soluble protein and lower organic acid content could be kept through storage by hanging on the stems.The results showed that the rotten percentage of fruits could be reduced and the quality declines Chieh-qua fruit could be delayed through storage by hanging on the stems.
