Abstract:

Using root tip of diploid and tetraploid Lonicera japonica Thunb M₁ as test matericals,karyotypic analysis of diploid and tetraploid Lonicera japonica Thunb were studied.The results showed that diploid Lonicera japonica Thunb：K=2n＝2x=18=8m+8sm+2st;tetraploid Lonicera japonica Thunb：K=2n=4x=36=16m+16sm+4st.The chromosome number of the mutant was doubled and proved to be polyploidy.
