Abstract:
With a new pepper(Ningxia Cavel)male sterility line and its fertility line discovered by researchers in Germplasm Resources of Ningxia Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences as materials.The content of  MDA produced by the membrane lipid peroxidation,the activities of POD,SOD and CAT in different bud’s stage and the leaves of male sterility line and its fertility line were studied.The results showed that,the content of MDA and the activities of POD and SOD in different bud’s stage and the leaves of male sterility line was higher than its fertility line,but the activity of CAT in the last two bud’s stage and the leaves of male sterility resource was lower than its fertility line.This study showed that pepper(Ningxia Cavel)male sterility linewas caused by the membrane lipid peroxidation.
