Abstract:
With three wine grape varieties (‘Cabernet sauvignon’,‘Merlot’ and ‘Chardonnay’) trimed to vertical single cordons in Yuquanying farm of Ningxia province as materials,the effect of the height of fruiting zone on the tannins,total phenols,total anthocyanins and total flavonoids content of grape berries and its wine were evaluated.The results showed that there was a significant difference among phenolic content of different fruiting height grapes berries and their wines;the contents of total phenols,total anthocyaninsins in all of 3 grape varieties and wines increased with the elevating of fruiting zones;the contents of total flavonoids and tannins in ‘Chardonnay’ grapes and wines increased with the elevating of fruiting zones;the contents of total flavonoids and tannins in ‘Chardonnay’ grapes and wines were higher in the higher section than in the lower section and central section.In conclusion,the quality of grapes and wine were better in the higher fruiting zone.
