Abstract:
Taking volatile oil from Pogostemon cablin and its tissue culture seedlings as materials,using tissue culture method,the effect of volatile oil on growth of its tissue culture seedings was studied.The results showed that volatile oil from Pogostemon cablin showed inhibiting effect on plant height,root length,fresh weight,dry weight and root number,and the degree of inhibition increased with increasing of extract concentration.Under the action of volatile oil,the contents of MDA increased,and the activities of POD and CAT increased too.
