Abstract:
Taking Iris sanguinea, Iris pseudacorus,Polygonum orientale,Juncus effuses and Phragmites australis as test materials,by the method of water culture,the effect of removal of total nitrogen (TN) in the eutrophicated water by 5 plants were studied.The results showed that the removal rates of all treatments with wetland plants were significantly higher than the control without plants,the removal rates of TN by Iris sanguinea, Iris pseudacorus,Polygonum orientale,Juncus effuses and Phragmites australis were 67.2%,41.0%,45.1%,49.7% and 38.7% in the high concentration treatment,and 69.4%,58.7%,67.5%,68.4% and 68.4% in the low concentration treatment,respectively.The concentration of TN has been reduced from 15 mg/L to 0.11 mg/L and 1.10 mg/L,respectively,under the treatments with Iris sanguine and Polygonum orientale.The removal rates were significant differences in the high concentration water,and the same plant showed a higher removal efficiency in the low concentration treatment.
