Abstract:
Seven apple cultivars and five hybrid progenies of different cross combinations were used as test materials,the appearance characters of leaf length,width,thicknesses and leaf index were investigated,the genetic trends of leaf traits in leaves of apple breeding were studied.The results showed that there was a great discrepancy and there were great varieties among hybrid progenies in leaf traits.The differences among singles of leaf sizes were the largest and were the suitable index of early choice of leaf traits of hybrid progeny.
