Abstract:
Taking tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.cv.‘Zhongza 105’)and cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.cv.‘Zhongnong 203’)as materials,the effects of nitrogen excess or deficiency supply on the seedling morphogenesis,chlorophyll content and mineral content of tomato and cucumber plug seedlings were determined.The results showed that the seedling apparent morphological indexes such as plant height,stem diameter,whole plant dry weight of tomato and cucumber plug seedlings were significantly decreased,but root/shoot ratio were increased when nitrogen supplied excess or excess.Supplied nitrogen excess resulted in chlorophyll content of tomato and cucumber seedlings increased and promote the absorption of N.However,supplied nitrogen deficiency had the opposite influence.Nitrogen excess and deficiency supply significantly promoted the accumulation of P,and the content of K,Ca,Mg were decreased.It could be concluded that the content of supplied nitrogen could regulate the growth and development of tomato and cucumber plug seedlings.
