- Abstract:
- ‘Beiguohong’ is a new variety with cold resistant purple-leaf plum for fresh-eating as well as ornamental using,which was bred by crossing between female parent,seedling of ‘Kongquedan’,and male parent,Liaoning ‘Purple-leaf Plum’.The branching ability of this variety is strong.The positive and negative face colors of young leave are turkey red,and mature leave is purple,whose ornamental character are excellent.Fruit is slightly long elliptic,whose average weight is 17.8 g.The average content of soluble solid in one fruit is 12.4%.The fresh-eating character of fruit is also superior.Maturity of fruit is in the middle of August in Gongzhuling region.
