Abstract:
Clivia miniata (Lindl.) Regel originate in Republic of South Africa.It is a famous ornamental plant for foliage,flowers and fruits in greenhouse and widely cultivated all over the world for two hundred years.C.miniata spred into China in 1930’s,but it was widely planted and appreciated in folk until after 1945.This paper made a brief introduction on the research and development of morphology and anatomy,cytology,cultivation and propagation,new cultivar breeding,phytochemistry,pharmacology and pharmacodynamics,etc in C.miniata.
