Abstract:
Take the‘Zaojia(8424)’watermelon as materials,the effects of different Ca 2+ concentrations on the growth,photosynthetic characteristics,protective enzyme activity of watermelon seedling in nutrient were studied.The results showed that the growth of watermelon seedlings was slow in 0~50 mg/L of Ca 2+ ,but POD and SOD activity were significantly higher than that in other treatments.The growth rate and plant height was the best at 220 mg/L of Ca 2+.In the treatment of 190 mg/L of Ca 2+ ,leaf numbers,fresh weight,dry weight,root length,net photosynthesis rate(Pn),stomatal conductance(Gs),intercellular carbon dioxide concentration(Ci)and chlorophyll content of seedlings were significantly higher than that in other treatments.It could be concluded that within 0~220 mg/L of Ca2+,it could promote the plant growth,improve photosynthesis and increase the synthesis and accumulation of organic matter if Ca 2+ in nutrient was improved.
